Upright-headstone granite memorials use a vertically oriented headstone as the main visual element. KANNO examples include KN03 – minimalist upright headstone and KN04 – neoclassical upright headstone.
If you are selecting the headstone itself, lettering and headstone-to-body proportion, see the separate granite headstone guide.
KANNO upright-headstone examples

KN03 – Minimalist Upright Headstone
KN03 uses Indian Black Granite and a restrained geometric composition centered on the relationship between headstone, memorial body and base.
KN04 – Neoclassical Upright Headstone
KN04 is recorded at 810 × 680 × 1250 mm. In KANNO’s classification, the 810 mm width places it in the compact reburial/cremation group; 1250 mm is the overall height and does not define the burial method.
How to choose an upright-headstone memorial

- Measure the plot, urn/ossuary or grave opening as applicable.
- Select granite and a size range that fits the budget and construction.
- Balance the proportions of body, headstone and base together.
- Approve the inscription layout before engraving.
