Granite memorials for in-ground burial are designed for burial of the body and therefore require a different below-ground construction and generally more space than compact reburial or cremation memorials. KANNO also refers to this group internally as nhất táng or one-time burial.

Within the current KANNO product system, several in-ground burial references are larger than the compact 810 mm group used for many reburial/cremation products. A common published reference for TT5, TT6, TT7 and KVD2 is 1250 × 2550 × 1250 mm. This is a KANNO product reference, not a universal cemetery standard.

How does KANNO classify this group?

Group KANNO product reference Planning meaning
In-ground / one-time burial Generally larger than the compact 810 mm group; several references at 1250 × 2550 × 1250 mm Requires larger burial construction and site planning
Reburial / cremation Many compact models around 810 mm body width Smaller container and overall construction

Actual design still needs the grave opening, coffin-related construction, cemetery limits and site conditions to be measured.

Why are the dimensions different?

The grave opening and burial construction for in-ground burial need more space. This affects the memorial body, base, headstone proportion, foundation load and working clearances. Do not classify a monument by visible height alone.

Granite material

Indian Black Granite appears in several KANNO in-ground burial products, while other stones can also be used. Material should be specified by actual trade name, finish and component dimensions. For Indian stone fabricated in Vietnam, distinguish Polished from India Plus – Super Polished.

Planning sequence

  1. Confirm burial method and grave-opening requirements.
  2. Check cemetery dimensional rules.
  3. Measure the plot and surrounding clearances.
  4. Develop the base and body around the actual burial construction.
  5. Balance headstone height with the longer memorial body.
  6. Check transport and lifting access for large granite components.
  7. Approve technical drawings before fabrication.

Foundation and drainage

Larger memorials impose greater loads and should be supported by a foundation suitable for the actual ground and burial construction. Ground levels and drainage need to be resolved so surface water does not collect around the base.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. It is a repeated KANNO product reference for several models, not a universal standard.

Yes. Several KANNO references use Indian Black Granite, but material does not determine the burial type.

No. Burial type is determined by the actual grave construction and internal requirement, not visible height alone.
